Services for Glenn Knighten, 70, of Allen, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Allen School Auditorium, Ed Rutherford will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery near Francis.

Mr. Knighten passed from this life, Wednesday, November 9, 2016, in the presence of his children, at his home. He was born February 12, 1946 at Allen to William Elijah and Dicie Mae Whitworth Knighten. He lived in this area all his life and graduated from Allen High School. He lived to serve the Lord. Christ was his hero. He was Godly man, who set a great example for all that knew him and every one he met.

He married Della Jane Cox December 22, 1967 in Ada. Mr. Knighten was a butcher for 13 years and later sold yard ornaments. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Allen and had served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his children, Sheila Ulrich, Jimmy Knighten and Tanya Knighten, all of Allen; two brothers, Gale Knighten of Allen and Leon Knighten of Pauls Valley; a sister, Francine Hall of Wichita, KS; his grandsons, Junior DeLozier, Hank DeLozier, Cedrick Knighten, William Loehr, Corey Knighten and Airyn Knighten; his granddaughters, Kresty Knighten Jarrett, Kyla McGee and Kimberly Knighten Farrell; ;and six great-grandchildren.

Bearers will be Jimmy Knighten, Tony Sanders, Timmy Sanders, Jared Knighten, Matt Cooley and Windale Knighten. Honorary bearers will be Jim Anderson, Jim McDonald and David (Byrdie) Byrd.
