Services for Bettie Ann Eaves, 87, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2023 at Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ron Gadberry, Toby Willoughby, and Don Kaiser will officiate. Burial will follow at Box X Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Eaves passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 at her home. She was born June 30, 1936 in Jumbo, OK to Hudie Lee and Lorene Scott Lee.

Mrs. Eaves attended school in Bethel Hill. On April 14, 1961 she married Glen Eaves. She served 42 years as minister’s wife at Iron Stob, McAlester and Oil Center.

Mrs. Eaves was well known for her great cooking for the Oil Center suppers. She also spent time working in the cafeteria at Vanoss Schools. She donated quilts to Oil Center Fire Department to raise funds and was a caregiver for the women’s ministry at Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Lanny Eaves and wife Tammy, of Ada and Russell Eaves and wife Cathy, of Ada; three daughters, Debbie Shortes and husband Terry, of Ada, Ann Roberts and husband Tony, of Ada, and Nina Collins and husband Tommy, of Ada; one brother, Jimmy Lee and wife Barbara, of McAlester; long time friends, Cora Mae Stephens, Lahonda Sutton, and Pearl Brown; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Mrs. Eaves was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Eaves; and her parents.

Bearers are her grandsons, Lanny Eaves, Jr., Josh Eaves, Tim Shortes, Philip Shortes, John Roberts, Brett Collins, Kenny Mayfield, Jason Cariker, Chris McKinney, Sean Lackey, John Hinman, and Tyler Mackey.
