Zion Missionary Baptist Cemetery

Sharon S. July, 56, of McAlester, Oklahoma died June 11, 2019 at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa. Family and friends may view on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion Cemetery, McAlester. Pallbearers will be Robert Zerbe, Gus Zerbe, Richard Phillips, Travis Jones, Jeff Byington and Ron Bogle. Sharon was born on November 21, 1962 to Jess and Lucille (West) Byington in Talihina, Oklahoma. She married Sauce July whom preceded her in death. Sharon is also preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Lucille Byington; sister, Beatrice Walker; brothers, Isaac Byington and Lumpsey Byington. Sharon graduated from McAlester High School with the Class of 1981 and later attended Okmulgee Tech. She enjoyed bargain shopping, watching the OKC Thunder basketball and the Tulsa Oilers hockey play. She was a member of the Choctaw Tribe. She will be forever missed by her daughter, Tabitha July of the home; brothers, Joseph Byington and wife, Shirley of Cushing and Jeff Byington and wife, Marilyn of Coalgate; sister-in-law, Cathy Byington and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
