Shirley Marie (Wingo) Tollett, 84 of Tannehill died Sunday in McAlester. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025 at First Assembly of God Church in McAlester officiated by Rev. Bobby Wingo and Rev. Art Dodd. Burial will follow in Tannehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Thomas Hobbs, Garrett Martin, Tyler Martin, Harley Martin, Rowdy Nimrod, Weston Hobbs, Kage Wilson and Kruz Wortham. Honorary pallbearers will be, Ken Miller, Loy Durbin and Dan McDonald. Shirley was born on July 11, 1941 in McAlester to James Russell and Pearlie Beatrice (Dunn) Wingo. She attended school in Crowder. She married Richard Clay Tollett on August 30, 1985 in Durant. Shirley worked as a shop planner at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant retiring in 1994. She had also worked at Komar, J. C. Penney along with other retail stores in McAlester. She worked as a visitation attendant at Bishop Funeral Service for several years. She enjoyed cooking crafting and flower gardening. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved watching them at sporting and other events. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren, whole heartedly. She was a member of Abundant Life Church, but more recently was attending First Assembly of God in McAlester. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Russell and Pearlie Beatrice Wingo; son, Wesley Don Martin; great grandchildren, Charlotte Hollomon and Halston Hollomon; sisters, Lydia Carolyn "Sue" Bowling, Viola Richardson, Stella Bernice Minyard; and a brother, Charles Wingo. Shirley is survived by her husband, Richard Tollett of the home; sons, Johnie Dale Martin and wife, Brenda, Ronnie Martin and wife, Denise; daughter, Donna Martin; step-daughter, Tammi Stanton and husband, Ryan; daughter-in-law, Carrie Martin; grandchildren, Krystal Wilson and husband, Cody, Jennifer Ranallo and husband, Eran, Tyler Martin and wife, Autumn, Garrett Martin and wife, Kennedi, Shelby Wortham and husband, Maurice, Thomas Heath Hobbs, Ashley Marie Hobbs, Kelsey Jackson and husband, Wesley, Harley Martin and wife, Bailye, Alyssa Hollomon and husband, Barrett, and Audrey Stanton; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Rita Elms and husband, Stanley; brothers, Artie Wingo and wife, Carol, Bobby Wingo and wife, Betty, Jimmy Wingo and wife Gayla; sister-in-law, Carol Dodson; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. Shirley will be missed but not forgotten.
