Dawn Renee Crone-Rasmussen, 61, of Arpelar, died Sunday, February 7, 2021 at her residence. Viewing will be from noon to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bishop Funeral Service and 8 until service time Thursday. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Bishop Spencer Hovey. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be Jeromy Crone, Randy Crone, Dustin Finley, Barry Reynolds, and Larry Odom. Dawn was born to Franklin M. "Frank" and Mary Lou (Poole) Crone in Bossier City, Louisiana on December 21, 1959. She graduated from high school in Fairbanks, Alaska. She graduated from Eastern Oklahoma State College and received a Bachelor's degree from East Central University in Ada. Dawn had worked for Rolling Hills Hospital in Ada, for Dr. Chris Manschreck in McAlester, and American Medical Supply. She married Aaron Lee Rasmussen on May 27, 2009 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Dawn was active in 4-H Club, and loved baking and canning. She would enter her confections in the Pittsburg County Fair where she was awarded numerous ribbons over the years. Dawn excelled at anything she wished to master. She loved to travel. She was known for her generosity and her caring heart. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank M. and Mary L. Crone, brother: Franklin Crone, and sister-in-law: Gaynelle Elliott. Survivors include her husband: Aaron Lee Rasmussen of the home; son: Jeromy Crone of the home; grandchildren: Tegan Crone, Madison Crone, and Kaia Crone; sister: Ann Crone of McAlester; sister-in-law: Jacqueline Crone of Arizona; brother-in-law: Richard Rasmussen and wife, Denise of Salina, Kansas; nephew: Christopher Blasengame of Ohio; and other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
