Born on July 10, 1944, in Arch, Oklahoma, Clinton was a man of great character and integrity, known for his dedication to his family and his craft. Clinton was preceded in death by his father, Homer Collins; his mother, DeLois (Loveless) Trowe; his sister, Francille Lewis; and his brothers, Hayden Duane Collins, and Darrell Collins. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Amy (Anderson) Collins; his daughter, Cindi Michelle Collins; his granddaughter, Mandy Lay; and his siblings: Glenda Kilmer, Lawrence Collins, and Maurice "Moose" Collins. Clinton's extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, will remember him fondly. Clinton was a proud graduate of Haileyville High School, Class of 1962. His work ethic and dedication led him to a successful career as a master carpenter. He began his career with D.E. Craig from 1963-1983, and then moved on to HBE Corporation, where he served as a master carpenter and superintendent from 1983 until his retirement in 2009. Clinton was a respected member of the Carpenters’ Union, where his skills and knowledge were highly valued. Clinton's interests were simple and centered around his love for his family and the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his horses on the family land at Arch, a pastime that brought him great joy and peace. However, the true apple of his eye was his granddaughter, Mandy. The time he spent with her was precious and cherished. Clinton's life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and dedication. He will be deeply missed.
