Bonnie Ruth (Green) Hackler, 79, of McAlester, died Sunday, May 16, 2021 in Tulsa. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Indianola officiated by Pastor Mike Perry. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Bonnie was born to Boy Amos and Cleo Inez (Sutton) Green on August 15, 1941 in Crowder. She attended Indianola School for the primary and secondary grades. She was divorced from Glen Hackler after 23 years of marriage having two children, Glen "Bubba" Hackler, Jr. and Gwendolyn Dawn Baker. She worked in telephone operations and dispatch. In her retirement years, she worked at the Senior Center of Indianola. She was a member of the Eastern Stars of Indianola. She loved to win at bingo and visit with her children and grandchildren. Bonnie was preceded in death by her father: Boy Amos Green; mother: Cleo Inez Green-Bryant; sisters: Juanita T. Hamilton, Cora M. McElhaney, Judith Carol Green (Justice); and brother: Robert L. Green. Bonnie is survived by her son: Glen "Bubba" Hackler, Jr. and wife, Tammie of McAlester; daughter: Dawn Baker and husband, Brett of Springdale, Arkansas; grandchildren: Keaton Hackler, Kyndall Hackler, Montanna Chandler and husband, Michael, Kianna Baker, River Baker, Colton Baker, and Ashlyn Perryman and husband, Spencer; great-grandchildren: Grace Chandler, Owen Chandler, and Naomi Chandler; sisters: Mary Lusk of Indianola, Freda Akins of Amarillo, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends
