Inez Jean (Dunsmoor) Brown
February 29, 1924 ~ February 3, 2015

Inez Jean (Dunsmoor) Brown, 90, of McAlester, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at a local nursing center. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Bishop's First Councilor; Scott Barton officiating. Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Inez was born to William H. and Leora May (Deilmont) Dunsmoor February 29, 1924 in Long Island, Kansas. She graduated from Long Island High School and Business College at Hastings, Nebraska. She married Nathaniel Glen Brown on September 5, 1944 in Sacramento, California. They lived in Caldwell, Kansas before moving to McAlester in 2005. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and embroidering. Inez was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, McAlester Ward. Survivors include her son: Robert Brown and wife, Heather of Provo, Utah; daughter: Nancy Hamilton and husband, Paul of McAlester; son: Ron Brown and wife, Verla of Clearfield, Utah; daughter: Karla Petersen of Mazenod, Saskatchewan; son: Kevin Brown and wife, Rose of Shelton, Connecticut; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: William H. and Leora May Dunsmoor, her husband: Glen Brown in 2010, brother: Bernard Lee Dunsmoor, and a son-in-law: Cliff Petersen. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
