Patsy JoAnn Scroggins, 79, of Savanna, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Savanna Cemetery, Savanna, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Mark Orr, Rick Crane, Clint Crane, Russell Turner, Jerry Warren, and Walt Weeks. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Mead, Randy Turner, Dr. Craig Carson, and Dr. Christopher Beene. Patsy was born on May 16, 1941 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Rand Surber and Lestine (Durant) Surber. She married Thomas Hugh Scroggins on August 18, 1959 in Durant. She was a member of the Chickasaw Nation. Patsy is survived by her husband of 61 years: Thomas Scroggins of the home; her daughter: Carrie Lynn Powell of Savanna; her sister: Dolores Waller of Paden; her sister-in-law: Barbara Surber of McAlester; nieces and nephews: Ruth Orr and husband, Mark of Paden, Diane Crane and husband, Rick of Wister, Carolyn Turner and husband, Andy Wright of Texas, Rhonda Warren and husband, Jerry of League City, Texas, Cheryl Dreher and husband, Tom of Colorado, Randy Turner and wife, Pam of North Carolina, and Russell Turner and wife, Christy of Rusk, Texas; life-long friends: Elaine Barnett of McAlester, and JoAnn Grippando of McAlester; her adopted family: Jennifer and Phillip Ashcraft and children: Morgan and Wesley of Pasco, WA, and Christie Barron and grandchildren: Haile and Maddy of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and her beloved pets: Reno and Shadow. She is preceded in death by her parents: Rand and Lestine Surber; her brother: Dan Surber; her sister: Joyce Turner; and a nephew: Shawn Waller.
