Edna Marie Rogers, age 56, of McAlester, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in McAlester, Oklahoma. A private burial will be held at Savanna Cemetery in Savanna, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends and relatives from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the Savanna Community Center, 105 H Avenue, Savanna, Oklahoma 74565. Edna was born on February 19, 1969, in Elkhart, Kansas, to Howard Coursey and Sharon Raye (Toller) Winlock. She grew up in Elkhart and was a graduate of Elkhart High School. Edna dedicated her career to public service, working as a police dispatcher for the City of Talihina and emergency management in Leflore County. Above all else, Edna's greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, who were truly her pride and joy. She embraced her role as "Memaw" with boundless love and devotion. In her quieter moments, Edna enjoyed spending time with her dog, reading a good book, listening to music and being outdoors—especially when she could relax and enjoy time at the lake. Edna was preceded in death by her father, Howard Coursey; her mother, Sharon Winlock; and her maternal grandmother, Edna Cozby. She is survived by her sons, Timmy Joe Rogers and wife Josie, and Ryan Rogers and wife Emilee; her grandchildren, Brooklynn Rogers, Tyler Rogers, Chance Rogers, Cole Rogers, and Cooper Rogers; her sister, Jessica Hall; her niece, Kaycee Godinez; her nephews, Isaiah Godinez (and Samantha) and Elijah Godinez; her great-nephew, Aiden Godinez; her great-niece, Bailiee Godinez; along with many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory. Edna will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
