Betty Drake, 65, of Savanna, passed away Wednesday, January 26, at McAlester Regional Health Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, at 10:00 a.m. at the Kiowa Baptist Church, with Pastor Willie Virden officiating. Burial will follow at Savanna Cemetery. Pallbearers are William Drake, Danny Drake, Jr., Marshall Drake, Jeff Drake, Danny Ellis, Robert Armstrong, and Jeff Falis. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Drake, Keith Ouellette, Trevor Ouellette, Keith Smith, Daniel Harper, Keaton Lewis, Joe Smith and Ed Debrosky. Betty Drake was born on May 5, 1956 in McAlester to Willie Lee Drake and Wilma Dean (Coulston) Drake. She grew up in Kiowa where she attended school, then later moved to Savanna where she was currently living. Betty started working at Komar and Sons at a young age, and was still currently working there. In her spare-time she loved to read and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a big Elvis Presley fan. Betty is survived by her son, Chris Keeling and Margaret Ishmael; daughter-in-law, Mel Keeling; her grandchildren, Sabrina Keeling, Ryder Keeling, Morgan Keeling, Mackenzie Ishmael, and Amanda Donald; a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Jeanne Drake; and 2 sisters, Wanda Smith and Sally Sherill. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Billy Keeling; a sister, Mary Douglas; and a brother, Bobby Drake.
