Wanda Hattie Rankin, 94, of Hartshorne, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 in Hartshorne. Visitation will be Thursday until 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bache-Red Oak Cemetery in Bache, with Michael Rankin bringing the eulogy. Pallbearers will be Michael W. Rankin, David A. Rankin, Nicholas A. Lance, Jim Ralls, Gunnar Rankin and Alexander Jude Rankin. Wanda Rankin was born on April 1, 1927 to Jerry W. Holt and Osa Estelle (Ryles) Holt. She has lived in this area virtually all her life, and in High Hill since 1970. She was married to Wilson Homer Rankin, Sr. on March 6, 1948. He preceded her in death. Wanda had worked at Seamprufe as a seamstress and then worked in the housekeeping department of the old McAlester General Hospital. Wanda loved to travel and made numerous trips to Washington to visit with family. She also enjoyed crocheting and was an excellent cook and just loved spending time with her family. Wanda is survived by a daughter-in-law, Julie Rankin; grandchildren, Michael Rankin, David Rankin, Wilson "Butch" Rankin, Jr., and Patricia (Rankin) Smith; great-grandchildren, Caleb Adams, Jaeger Adams, Gunnar Rankin, Alexander Jude Rankin, Nicholas A. Lance, Alyzzia Smith, Chanel Smith, Jolena Smith and William Smith; a brother, Gerald Holt of Longview, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Rankin, Sr.; sons, Wilson "Butch" Rankin, Jr., David Wayne Rankin, and Dennis James Rankin; a daughter, Patsy Evelyn (Rankin) Jones; her parents, Jerry and Osa Holt; grandsons, Eddie Forrest Jones and Steven Wayne Jones; sisters, Dovie Sartin, Martha Winningham Holt, Bonnie Shann, Lilly Owens and Dorothy Ennis; and brothers, Jim Holt, Haskell Holt, Jerry Holt, and Dale Holt.
