Frances Louise Kelley 91, of Stuart, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025, in McAlester at a local nursing center surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Pryor Cemetery Chapel officiated by Rev. Cecil Day. Burial will follow in Pryor Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stuart Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 153 Stuart, Ok 74570 and Pryor Cemetery P.O. Box 174, Stuart, Ok 74570.
Frances was born on July 20, 1934, in Mason, Texas, to Frank George and Nettie Evelyn (Coffey) Vandeveer. She graduated from Stuart High School.
She married Howard Paul Kelley on November 24, 1954, in McAlester. They shared 58 years of marriage before his passing in 2012.
Frnces was a devoted homemaker and loved gardening. Frances had a kind heart, a gentle spirit, and a deep love for animals-especially her dogs.
She was a member of Stuart Free Will Baptist Church.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nettie Vandeveer; her husband, Howard Kelley; and her brothers, Pat Vandeveer and Charlie Vandeveer.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Kelley and wife, Bo, of McAlester, and Tracy Kelley and wife, Kristi, of Krebs; grandchildren, Ashley Hill and Madison Humphreys; great-grandchildren, Ava Thomas and Aspen Molina; niece, Jan Babyak; nephews, Lan Vandeveer and Scott Vandeveer; along with other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
