Judy Jean Adam,79, of McAlester passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 in McAlester, Oklahoma. A memorial graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Pryor Cemetery in Stuart, Oklahoma. Mr. Chris Rampey will be officiating. Judy Jean Adam was born November 25, 1945 in Stuart, Oklahoma to Jessie G.(Mason) Adam and Herman Earnest Adam. She was the youngest of four children and was adored and spoiled by her older siblings Ernie, Johnny, and Dody. Judy was an exceptional athlete and was the pitcher for the Stuart softball team who won a state championship in 1964. Judy attended East Central University where she majored in education. Upon graduation, Judy taught school for 6 years in Missouri before moving back to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she accepted a job with Hitachi in Norman as a supervisor. She enjoyed playing golf and competed on an intramural softball team traveling throughout the United States. Judy was an avid sports fan who loved OU sports, OKC Thunder and watching her nieces and nephews compete. After a 19-year career with Hitachi, she moved back home to take care of her mother. Judy loved being back in the Stuart community to spend more time with her family, her former Stuart classmates, and the members of her Church of Christ family. Judy is survived by her sister, Dody Davis; niece, Erica Smith; nephews, Tracy Adam, Larry Davis, Todd Adam, and Wade Davis; along with several great nieces and nephews. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her two older brothers,Walter Earnest "Ernie" Adam, Johnny W. Adam and her nephew, Kent Davis. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and staff at New Hope Nursing home who gave her exceptional care with love and devotion.
