Betty Lee (Cook) Long, 90, long-time resident of Coalgate area resident was born on May 15, 1926. Betty passed away on August 14, 2016 in Coalgate, Oklahoma. She worked many different jobs. Betty married Lawrence Long on August 3, 1943 in McAlester. Betty is survived by her children, Patsy Cramer of Bakersfield, CA, Donna Williams of Wardville and Betty Lynn of Coalgate; Seven Grandchildren; Seven Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Elliot Long; parents, Henry Charles Cook and Annie (Merritt) Cook and three grandchildren, Clifford Wayne Cramer, Earl Lawrence Lynn and Jesse Adam Eugene Ray. A Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at Pine Top Cemetery. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be: Russel Cramer, Kenneth Williams, Daniel Ray, Sherry Kurth and Tommy Lynn. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Linda Lynn, Lisa Lynn, Johnny Turnbow and Jan Turnbow. Arrangements entrusted to Chaney Harkins Funeral Home, McAlester, OK.
