Pamela "Penny" Smith of Bache died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at her home at the age of 60. Penny was born November 17, 1955 to Hank and Gloria (Waters) Anderson. She grew up in Crowder and married Al David Smith on October 22, 1977. Penny worked at Walmart for several years and in 1998 she obtained her LPN license at the Kiamichi Career Tech Center and worked for Caring Hands Home Health. Penny was a member of the Chickasaw Nation. Her greatest joy in life was laughing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her father, Hank Anderson of Hartshorne; son, Adam Smith of McAlester; daughter, Amanda Smith of McAlester; six grandchildren, Alan Smith, Ally Smith, Haley Watson, McKenzie Roberts, Brooklyn Smith and Chad Smith; sisters, Starr Branson and husband, Charlie of Arpelar, Stacy Herring and husband, Billy of McAlester and Tracy Johnston and husband, Kenny of Ardmore; brother, John Anderson and wife, Shelly of Hartshorne and other family and friends. Penny was preceded in death by her husband, Al in 2006; mother, Gloria Woolf, son, Chad Kelton; step-father, William Imler; and brother, John Imler The Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Chaney's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Austin Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at North Town Cemetery, McAlester, OK. Pallbearers will be: Lucas Christopher, Billy Herring, James Smith, Dallas Herring, Jeremy Nave, and Ethan Vermillion. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jerry Nave, Alan Smith and Nathan Herring.
