Johnny Dillard Ray, 71, of Haileyville, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at his home. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Louis Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in McAlester. Active pallbearers will be Ricky Lott, Rayder Lowe, Daygen Lowe, Bradley Lott, David Johnston, and Harley Stiles; Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Joyce, Scotty Barrett, Danny Barrett, Shawn Barrett, Zachary Stidmon, Phillip Joyce, Tony Schwarz and Joey Schwarz (and Twin Cities Family,) Buddy Garvin, Ray Clark Jr., Randy French and the 180th Infantry. Johnny was born on September 19, 1953 in McAlester to Travis Blanton Ray and Clara Christine (Jentsch) Ray. Johnny was SFC with the Army National Guard. He was married to his loving wife of 45 years, Delores F. Thompson on July 20, 1979 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. He was a Diesel Mechanic and retired from Twin Cities Ready Mix. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with the family and aggravating the grandkids. Buying tools that he didn't need and working on cars. Picking on mom was his main hobby. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Delores F. Ray; children and a spouse, Diane Elaine Ray and Scotty Barrett, Sharon Christine Lott and husband, Ricky C. Lott, Rhonda Sue Ray and Phil A. Joyce; grandchildren, Dakotah Stiles, Harley Stiles, Stormie Stiles, Philip Joyce, Kylah Lyons, Kelly Lott, Bradley Lott, Zach Stidmon, Rayder Lowe and Daygen Lowe; great-grandchildren, Boe Stiles and Ryleigh Stiles; and one sister, Melba June Ray. Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Travis Blanton Ray; mother, Clara Christine Ray; half-brother, Albert Ray; grandmother, Alma Amanda Jentsch and grandfather, Herman Max Jentsch.
