Larry Preston Hubbard, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his home, with his family at his side. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Thursday, April 17, at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Crowder, with Terry Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Pallbearers are David King, Matt Ramsey, Tyler Hubbard, Gabriel Hubbard, Tristen Hubbard, and Aiden Hubbard. Honorary pallbearers are Dewayne Hubbard, Wyatt Hubbard, Gary Brooks, and Tarrant King. Larry Hubbard was born on July 1, 1944 at Flowery Mound, Oklahoma to Preston Melvin Hubbard and Helen Norma (Brannon) Hubbard. He grew up mainly in Bugtussle and Krebs, where he attended school until transferring to Savanna, where he graduated. Soon after graduation, he and Frankie Ann Harvell were married, on August 24, 1962, after 56 years of marriage she preceded him in death on February 14, 2018. Larry was a truck driver all his life, starting at the age of 16, with local delivery trucks. He soon began cross-country driving and did that most of his career hauling nitrogen for Air Products out of Pryor, OK where he drove over 2 million miles accident free! After many years, he returned to more local trucking working for Prestera until he finally retired. After retirement, he and Frankie enjoyed traveling and visiting family members. At home, Larry spent his time fixing things and piddling in his shop. He also enjoyed working his ranch by brush hogging burning brush, caring for his cattle, and giving his grandkids tractor rides. His favorite past-time was watching his grandkids play sports. Larry was a member of Crowder First Baptist Church, where his hugs will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children, Kim Taylor, Lesa King and husband David, and Greg Hubbard and wife Melinda; 8 grandchildren, Matt Ramsey, Lauren Guthrie, Jorji King, Tyler, Wyatt, Gabriel, Tristen, & Aiden Hubbard; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Martin; and a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Dawn Hubbard.
