Bishop Funeral Home
Submitted by: Carol Spear Rice
Freda Sue lived a life rich in love, faith, and family. She was the proud mother of one son and two daughters, the joyful grandmother of seven, and the beloved great-grandmother of ten. Each generation was touched by her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering devotion. She also shared a special and meaningful bond with Beau Million, who held a cherished place in the family. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved God deeply and found joy in her church, where she was embraced as a friend, mentor, and sister in Christ. Her spirit of kindness and compassion made her loved by all who knew her. She also expressed her love through cooking. Her kitchen was more than a place to prepare meals — it was the heart of her home. With every dish, she nourished not only bodies but souls, creating memories around the table that will be cherished forever. Her legacy is one of faith, family, and fellowship. She leaves behind a tapestry of love woven through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and through the countless lives she touched with her generosity and grace. Though she has gone to be with the Lord, her spirit remains alive in the laughter of her family, the fellowship of her church, and the aroma of meals that will forever remind us of her love. Freda Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil Hodges, as well as her parents, one brother, and two sisters. A visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Pastor Roy Prince officiating. A burial will follow at Memory Gardens Park Cemetery in McAlester, Oklahoma.
