Homer was a resident of McAlester for five decades. He married Juanita Womble in December of 1930. She survives him. He was a self-employed contractor and a member of the Grand Ave Methodist Church. Other survivors include a son, Bill Geter of Krebs; a granddaughter, Janice Hale of Bartlesville; two grandsons, Rodney Geter of Norman and Kenneth Geter of Houston, Tex.; one great-granddaughter, Lauren Hale of Bartlesville; five brothers, Jack Geter of Krebs, Chester A. Geter, Ross Geter and Harold Geter, all of California and Marion Geter of Corpus Christi, Tex.; two sisters, Bonnie Ruth Saitta of Ohio and Shirley Weder of Durant. Services will be Thursday, Jan. 24 at 2:30 pm in Chaney's Chapel. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Dr. Dick House will officiate.
