Martha Ann (Adams) Coffey, 88 of Kiowa died Saturday March 15, 2025 in McAlester. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Mr. Wade Daniel. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery, McAlester. Pallbearers will be Lance Hess, Mike Haynes, Ron Nichols, and Kevin Durant, Honorary pallbearers will be, William Holiman, Mike Hall, Brad Trammell and Dakota Trammell. Martha Ann was born to Charles and Laura Ethel (Farmer) Adams on November 15, 1936 in Kiowa. She graduated from Kiowa High School in 1955. She married Kenneth W. Coffey on November 25, 1954 in Savanna. Martha worked as a teacher for Head Start in Kiowa. She then worked for National Oil Well as a logistics clerk for several years retiring in 1999. Martha was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. She loved to go shopping especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to horse races with her husband Kenneth and attending estate sales. She was a member of Kiowa Baptist Church. Martha was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Adams; mother, Laura Adams-Harper; husband, Kenneth W. Coffey in 2006; and daughter, Avonda Brooks in 2011. She is survived by daughters, Theresa Feemster and husband Rocke; Tonya Reynaert and husband, David all of Kiowa; grandchildren, Danyella Kay Nicholson, Andrew Effenbeck and wife, Amberr; DeeAnn Golden and husband, Thomas, Trevor Feemster, MaKenna Tucker and husband Dylan, Torie Rogers and Jack Schwarz, Mason Reynaert and great grandchildren, Alexis Nicholson, Nik Coffey, Astrid Richards, Gwen Richards, Zoie Effenbeck, William Effenbeck, John Effenbeck, Damian Feemster, Kaleb Golden, Bradley Golden and Eli Golden; brother, Joe Robert Adams and wife, Odell; nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
