Eugene Bargas, 81, of McAlester, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at his home. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Faith Tabernacle Church, 1 W. Kiowa Ave., in McAlester with Pastor Steven Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery in McAlester. Active pallbearers will be Alexander Hilburn, Dewayne Rippee, Zoen Bargas, Juniper Bargas, Marainya Bargas, and Zack Yates. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin and Shelley Bargas, and Tracy Cargill. Eugene was born on June 1, 1944 in Gowen, Oklahoma to Edward and Augustina (Garcia) Bargas. He married Nellie Rosetta Ritchey on July 3, 1964 in McAlester. He served in the Army Reserves and was a flooring installer for many years. Survivors include his wife, Rosetta Bargas of McAlester, OK; son, Kevin Bargas and wife, Shelley Bargas of McAlester, OK; daughter, Regina Parker of McAlester, OK; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Rippee of McAlester, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Augustina Bargas; siblings and spouses, Mary and Jimmy Compelube, Edward and Elaina Bargas, Johnnie and Loretta Bargas; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Rippee.
