Lee Edward Sartor, 86, of Kiowa, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. The family will greet friends on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory in McAlester. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Kiowa First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Danny Drake. Burial will follow at Kiowa Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Heath Carr, Cooper Carr, Robert Suter, Kevin Newberry, Keaton Newberry, and Richard Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Lee's Sunday school class. Lee Edward was born on January 17, 1939, in Denison, Texas, to William Perry Sartor and Mabel Idell (Wright) Sartor. He graduated from Ashland High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He later moved to Dallas, Texas, where he owned and operated Lee's Glass, cutting glass for over 25 years. Lee married Barbara Ann (Harris) Suter on March 12, 2000, in Kiowa. Lee enjoyed spending time outdoors — hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved entertaining others with his singing and guitar playing. A natural storyteller, Lee especially loved sharing tales during family gatherings. He also enjoyed playing dominoes and visiting with friends at the Kiowa Senior Citizen Center, where he has been serving as President for over 20 years. A man of strong faith, Lee was a longtime and devoted member of Kiowa First Baptist Church. Known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Lee was preceded in death by: His parents, William and Mabel Sartor; Brothers-in-law: Jerry Newberry, Oliver Baldwin, Dale Davis, Wayne Sexton, W.C. Derryberry; Sister-in-law: Jeanine Sartor. He is survived by: wife, Barbara Sartor, of the home; Daughter, LeAnn Foster and husband Max, of El Paso, Texas; Granddaughters: Ashley Rodriguez of El Paso, Emily Rodriguez of Granbury, Michelle Rodriguez of El Paso; four great-grandchildren; Sisters: Naomi Davis of El Reno; Joyce Sexton of Kiowa, Willie Dell Derryberry of McAlester, Dora Kay Nichols and husband Sherman of Kiowa, Ronna Gail Baldwin of McAlester; Brothers: R.W. Sartor of Ashland, Wallace Sartor and wife Betty of Kiowa, Charles Wayne Sartor and wife Maclyn of Searcy, Arkansas, Dorman “Dub” Sartor and wife Sharon of Ashland; Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Lee Sartor's legacy of kindness, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
