Mildred Lee Clifton, 89, of McAlester, passed away October 17, 2021 at a local nursing center. Mildred was born on September 13, 1932 to Buster and Lorene (Knight) Stacy at Cabiness, Oklahoma. She married Charlie S. Clifton in 1950. He preceded her in death in 2015. She was a member of the Lone Grove Free Will Baptist Church for many years and was currently a member of the Fellowship Free Will Baptist in McAlester. She is survived by a daughter, Charla Kay Coffee and husband Keith; grandchildren, Jason Coffee and wife Jackie, Jennifer Heinicke and husband Mike; great-grandchildren, Taylor Otis and husband Jeremy, Keaton Lozano, Tanner Coffee and fiancé Lauren Peck, Case Heinicke and Carter Coffee, all of McAlester; Also, a special niece, Patti Schoggins; nephew, Stan Henson; sister-in-law, Patsy Nye; brother-in-law, E.B. Henson; she is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews of her husband's family. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a sister, Shirley Henson. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021, at the Hugh Low Cemetery pavilion with Rev. Jamie Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. The family would like to thank the staff of New Hope Retirement Center and Hospice of McAlester for their many years of love and care.
