Hickory Grove Cemetery

Jerry Lee Bauer, Sr, 77 year old Grove resident, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021. Jerry was born in Grove to Lloyd and Thelma (Blevins) Bauer on September 24, 1944. He was united in marriage to Betty Jean "BJ" Newburn on October 2, 1987. Together they spent 34 years loving life and living for each other. They enjoyed traveling, fishing, spending time with family, and flipping houses together. Jerry worked as a pipeliner for numerous years both as a welder and inspector and was a member of the Pipeliners Union 798. Left to carry on his legacy include his wife BJ, children: Jerry Bauer, Jr. and Tina Clifton, Tommy Bauer and wife Denise, Jerri Lynn Mathia and husband Kenny, Karen Cope and husband Kenton, and Tammy Roark and husband Jerry. His beloved grandchildren: Danielle Osborn, Drew Osborn, Deambra Lewis, Jonathan Lewis, Arron Bauer, Samantha Bauer, Joe King, Lawanda King, Bennie King, Keysha Armbrister, Luke Armbrister, Jerid Cope, Derrick Cope, Courtney Gilker, Ryan Gilker, Chadlee Roark, and Whitney Roark, and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother Jimmie Bauer and sister Peggy Frazier. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 26, 2021, from 5-7 pm at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Chapel in Grove. Funeral services will 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
