Ronald Gene Wilson, 74, of McAlester, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 in Oklahoma City. The family will greet friends on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bishop Chapel of Memories. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Reverend Art Dodd officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Pallbearers will be Justin Adams, Levi Wilson, Brandon Copeland, Michael Wilson, Adarian Wilson, and Christopher Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Cary Wilson, Jimmy Don Wilson, Richard Wilson, Paul Wilson, Leonard Wilson, and Marshall Peterson. Ronald was born on July 10, 1947 in McAlester to Cary Lee Wilson and Patricia Louise (Randi) Wilson. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge. Ronald owned and operated Quality Upholstery in McAlester for more than 40 years. He was a kind person and donated to many charities over the years. During his retirement years, he enjoyed metal detecting and spending time with his great-great-grandchildren. Ronald is preceded in death by his mother: Patricia Louise (Randi) Wilson, his father: Cary Lee Wilson, his sister: Loretta Wilson, and his great-grandson: Noah Copeland. He is survived by his daughter: Vicky Pierce of McAlester; his son: Michael Wilson of McAlester; his grandchildren: Justin Adams, Levi Wilson and NaTasha, Chelsey Copeland and Brandon, all of McAlester, Michael Wilson of Monticello, Arkansas, Adarian Wilson and Lacey of McAlester, and Christopher Wilson and Jaeden of Bentonville, Arkansas; his great-grandchildren: Padon Adams, Brittleigh Adams, Kaylee Adams, Jasmine Adams, Kayden Copeland, Jensen Copeland, Oaklynn Wilson, Renley Wilson, and Savanah Wilson; his sister: Patty Didlott and John of Hartshorne; his brothers: Cary Lee Wilson and Patricia of Hartshorne, Leonard Wilson and Wynail, Paul Wilson, Richard Wilson, all of Ozark, Arkansas, Jimmy Don Wilson and Elizabeth of Harthorne; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family. and friends.
