Rodrick "Bosco" Pope, 46, of McAlester, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at McAlester Regional Health Center. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Elmwood Cemetery Pavilion in Hartshorne with Lacey Arreola officiating. Burial will follow. He was born on March 13, 1975 in Talihina, Oklahoma. He married Tammy Amen on October 20, 2008 in McAlester. He enjoyed camping, fishing, grilling and tinkering. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Pope; children, Sonnie Pope, Makenzie Pope, Bryson Pope, Giovanni Pope and Khi Pope; mom, Lora Dunafan; sister, Joanna Pryor; brother, Christopher Danafan; mother, Lindsey Pope; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family. He was preceded in death by his father, C.A. Dunafan; grandmother, JoAnn Pope; grandfather, John Pope and cousin, Elijah Yellseagle.
