William "Earl" Pinegar
9 February 1934 ~ 3 May 2021

William "Earl" Pinegar, 87, of McAlester, died Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his residence. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne with military honors provided by the U.S. Army Honors Team. Inurnment will follow. Born February 9, 1934 in Salt Fork, he grew up and graduated from Lamont High School. He was an honorable U.S. Army veteran serving in Frankfurt, Germany. Earl was employed at the U.S. Naval Ammunition Depot and McAlester Army Ammunition Plant as a machinist, mechanical planner, and program analyst, retiring in 1987. He married Patsy Wallace Johnson on April 7, 1982 in Sherman, Texas. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards and games, and working in his beloved woodshop. Earl was preceded in death by his parents: William Henry and Cora (Carpenter) Pinegar, son: William Spencer Pinegar, brother: Jesse Pinegar, in-laws: Lincoln and Marie Wallace, brother-in-law: James Swanson, special aunt: Fern (Pinegar) Fox, and the mother of his children: Doris Pinegar. Survivors include his wife: Patsy of the home; son: Danny Pinegar of McAlester; daughter: Elizabeth Ann (Pinegar) Davies of Plano, Texas; grandchildren: Danielle Davies of Seattle, Washington, Daniel Pinegar of McAlester; sister: Marie Mayo of Tonkawa, brother-in-law: Ronnie Wallace and wife, Jo of Dow; sisters-in-law: Gale Carlene Swanson of Dow. Iva Rosenthal and husband, Larry of Anaheim, California; daughter-in-law: Linda Pinegar of Coweta. Also stepsons: Monte Johnson and wife, Brenda of Allen, Roger Johnson and wife, Jill of Sapulpa; grandchildren: Cassie Johnson and Jacob Barney, both of Allen; Conner Johnson and wife, Jacklyn of Alex, Cory Johnson of Riverside, California, Addison and Tanner Johnson of Sapulpa; four great-grandchildren with three in the oven; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends at Burgundy Place in McAlester.
