Johnnye LaVaughn (Bookout) Mackey, age 88, of Yukon, formerly of Hartshorne, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Elmwood Cemetery Pavilion in Hartshorne with Pastor J.P. Hackler officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne. Johnnye was born March 29, 1926 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to William Marion and Nealie Jane (Ridge) Bookout. She married William James Mackey in 1965 in McAlester. She enjoyed reading and watching TV. She was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Dorothy and Ralph Bruton of Tulsa, OK, Don Alfred Watts of Oklahoma City, OK, Clyde Earl and Vicki Watts of Phoenix, AZ, Johnny Pat and Debra Watts of Edmond, OK, Steven Michael and Mary Watts of Yukon, OK, grandchildren, Jill (Bruton) Ferguson of Houston, TX, Todd Bruton of Tulsa, OK, Melissa Morgan of Hartshorne, OK, Steve Bradley Watts of Yukon, OK, Sara (Windham) LeMane of Grapevine, TX, Lezley (Watts) Bothwell of Rocklin, CA, Keaton Clyde Watts of Pittsburgh, PA, Kinsey Watts of Yukon, OK, great-grandchildren, Sophia and Sydney Ferguson, Kalin, Terra and Grant Bruton, Ashley and Jessica Watts, Luke, Laurence, Landry and Lezley LeMane, Jack Bothwell. Johnnye was preceded in death by her husband, William James Mackey, her parents; grandchild, Jeffery David Watts; brother, John Bookout; sisters, Tommye Johnson, Ruth Haws, Esther Cooney, Jewell Williams, Lena Mae Eskridge and Gertrude Sanders.
