James Wade King, 44, of Hartshorne, passed away Thursday, May 18, at McAlester Regional Health Center. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Hartshorne, and then all day Monday as well. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 23, at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Scott Horstman officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joe David King, J. C. Kitchell, Trent Kitchell, Canon Monks, Derrick Ladd, and Daxton King. Wade King was born on July 8, 1978 in McAlester to Johnny Joe King and Rebecca Lea (O'Kelly) King. He grew up in Hartshorne and graduated from Hartshorne High School. He and Stacy Oen were married on Dec. 17, 2016 and they made their home north of Hartshorne. Wade was currently working with Rocking L Dozer Service. Wade has always been involved with rodeos, participating in several different events over the years, as well as taking part in livestock shows. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing, and loved spending time at the lake with his family. Wade was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Hartshorne. Wade is survived by his wife, Stacy King; his children, Kelsie Bidwell and Chandler, Daxton King and Lexie, Katy King and Canon, Joelea King and Keaton, Macie Graves and Sydnie Graves; his mother, Becky King; a brother, Joe David King and Jennifer; a sister, Julie Kitchell and J. C.; and parents-in-law, Steve and Cathy Oen; sister-in-law, Carey Oen; and brother-in-law, Peter Oen. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe King; a sister, Jen King; and grandparents, James and Carlyn O'Kelly and Perry and Opal King.
