Shirley Day, 71, of Hartshorne, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 14th at Brumley-Mills Chapel in Hartshorne with Rev. Dwyla Smart officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Active pallbearers will be Lance Bowman, Jeremy Nave, Tyler Bowman, Frank War, Chaisen Hill and Randy Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Clint Walker, Rodney Hugle, Jimmy Don Wilson, Neil Dollins, Brian Schiller and Richard Cooper. She was born on September 1, 1949 in McAlester to Edkar and Oweeta (Christian) Schiller. She married Roger Day on February 2, 2001 in Mena, Arkansas. She enjoyed working in her garden, yard work, walking and hiking. She was of the Assembly of God faith. Survivors include her husband, Roger Day; children and spouses, Dena and Lance Bowman, Kyle and Rachel McCullar, Ryan McCullar, Randy and Mechelle Day; grandchildren, Tyler Bowman, Breyln McCullar, Emily Bowman, Dexton McKee, Elliet McCullar, Barrett McCullar, Tess Day and Maverick Day. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Schiller; mother, Oweeta Boyles; step-mother, Anna Lou Schiller; brother, Johnny Schiller; sister, Sherry Davenport; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Bowman and Joee McCullar.
