Helen Pitts Clark, 82, of Hartshorne, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at McAlester Regional Health Center. She was born on December 7, 1938 in Nashville, Arkansas to James Luther and Ruffie Nannie (Carey) Ashbrook. She married Jessie Clark on February 17, 1976 in Wilburton, Oklahoma. She loved to travel. Survivors include her children and spouses, Eddie and Marilyn Pitts, Rick and Barbara Pitts, Sue Pitts and Allen Fry, and Joy Pitts Knight; nine grandsons; one granddaughter; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; brother, Steven Wayne Ashbrook; one niece and one nephew. Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Eddie Wendel Pitts; second husband, Jessie Lee Clark; three brothers, Henry Ashbrook, Bob Ashbrook and James Ashbrook. Pallbearers will be James Pitts, Charles Pitts, Heath Pitts, Richard Gentry, Shawn Knight, Tony Knight, Wesley Fry, Joe Fry and Bruce Fry. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14th at Brumley-Mills Chapel in Hartshorne with John Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne.
