Jason A. Sylvester, age 38, died Monday, January 9, 2017 in Moore. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Crowder cemetery under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Janurary 11, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Jason A. Sylvester was born on December 19, 1979 in Georgetown, Texas. He grew up in Crowder with his parents, Leslie and Doris Sylvester and graduated from Crowder High School in 1999. He married Ashley D. Prince in March, 2001. He joined the U.S. Army in 2001 and served several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and received his honorable discharge in 2012. He has been working for J.B. Hunt Transport Company as an account manager for the last several years. He recently received the account of the year award for 2016. Survivors include his wife, Ashley D. Sylvester of the home, 2 sons, Andrew C. Sylvester and Jacob C. Sylvester, mother, Doris Sylvester, 3 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, Steve and Karen Sylvester of Texas, Randy Sylvester of McAlester, Oklahoma, Terry Capps of Texas, uncle, Harold Sylvester of Texas, parents-in-law, James and Ruth Prince of Indianola, Oklahoma, brother-in-law, Jimmy Prince, grandmother-in-law, Mary Prince of Indianola, Oklahoma and he is also survived by Cindy Hayward. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Sylvester, in-laws, William F. Prince and Thomas Franklin "Tommy" Prince.
