Joshua Dean Ramsey, 46, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at his home. He was born on September 3, 1977 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Rick and Jana (Leak) Ramsey. He graduated from Crowder High School and attended Oklahoma State University for 3 years. He has lived in Stillwater for 15 years and enjoyed reading, video games and watching movies. Joshua is survived by his parents, Jana and Wayne Griffin, and Rick and Laqueta Ramsey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Jennifer Griffin of Crowder, OK, Jeremy and Victoria Stone of Moore, OK; sisters and a brother-in-law, LeNisa and Roger Nitzel of Crowder, OK, Casandra Breedlove of Moore, OK and Kellie and Doug Reynolds of Claremore, OK; grandmother, Laveda (Wilcox) Leak; nephews, Matthew Griffin, Austin Breedlove, Hunter Stone, Alistair Stone, Jace Stone, Cody Reynolds and Hunter Reynolds; nieces, Jordan Nitzel and Kahli Ackerman, Rebekah Nitzel and Christian Thorp, Bethany Griffin and Kaleb Ervin and Ezra, Karilyn Breedlove and Landon Kirkpatrick; special friend, Christina Chesny. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Virginia Ramsey; maternal grandfather, Joe K. Leak; an uncle, John Leak, and a niece, Micah Reynolds. Visitation will be all day on Thursday, with family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Graveside memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Crowder Cemetery Pavilion with J. Paul Wilcox officiating.
