Leland "Buddy" Peak, Jr. of Savanna, Ok died Friday December 13, 2013 at Eufaula Manor, Eufaula, OK at the age of 82. Buddy was born November 22, 1931 in Savanna, OK to Leland, Sr. and Irene (Holt) Peak. He lived in Pittsburg and Savanna his entire life. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and being with his family. He is survived by his sister, Roberta Echelle of Kiowa, sister, Billie King and husband, Leroy of Savanna, and brother, Tommy Peak and wife, Joann of Stuart; nieces and nephews, Gary Mackey of Denver, Linda Tate of Houston, Karen Fant of McAlester, Floyd King and wife, Laura of McAlester, Debbie Ledford of Pittsburg, Patty Applegate of Herrington, KS, Curt James of Savanna, Greg James and wife, Gayle of Savanna, Michelle Hawkins and husband, David of Wright City, Tina Peak of California and Lycia May of McAlester. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Leland, Sr. and Irene Peak; sister, Shirley Wood, brother-in-law, George Wood, brother-in-law, Tony Echelle, and nephews, Kenny Mackey, Bobby Mackey and Jeffrey James. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Pittsburg Cemetery. Interment will follow.
