Troy Truman Lane, lovingly called Dad and Peepaw, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Texarkana, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the Friendship Church of the Nazarene in Stuart, Oklahoma with Pastor Sharla Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland Cemetery. He was born on December 13, 1933 in Stuart, Oklahoma to W.E. and Minnie Mae (Davis) Lane. He served in the United States Army and was a retired Thoroughbred Horse Trainer. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominos, spending time with family, especially grandkids and great-grandkids, watching football, specifically the Oklahoma Sooners and Dallas Cowboys. Survivors include his children, Beth Anderson (Candace) of New Boston, TX, Dana Goff (Jeff) of Hot Springs Village, AR, Amy Tackett (Terry) of Alvarado, TX; grandchildren, Paula Sue Anderson, Evan Anderson (Mandy), Tara Anderson, Brandy Lawson, Stormy Lawson, Blake Darnell, Adam Goff (Jessie), Alex Goff (Dorene), Troy Tackett and Toby Tackett; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, O.L. “Pete” Lane (June) of Ashland, OK and Leonard J. Lane (Barbara) of Burleson, TX; sister, Carolyn Sue Hammer (Steve) of Arlington, TX; sister-in-law, Mary Lane of Coalgate, OK and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.E. Lane and Minnie Mae (Davis) Lane; brothers, Haskel P. Lane and wife Lilly, Harley R. Lane and wife Alvera, Clifford B. Lane and wife Louise, J.W. Lane, Donald W. Lane and James Lane; sisters, Geneva Cunningham and husband Vernon, Lula Mae Rush and husband Lynn and his beloved horse Butch. Active pallbearers will be Greg Hammer, Jeff Lane, Evan Anderson, Aaron Roberts, Don Gwinn, Ricky Lane, Curtis Lane and Blake Darnell. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Lane, Leonard Lane, Steve Hammer, Jeff Goff and Terry Tackett.
