Anthony Dale Jones, 60, of Ashland, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Ashland Cemetery with Mr. Tim Maxey officiating. Active pallbearers will be Don Chapman, Jeremy Doyle, Nathan Gooch, Kenny Maxwell, Rick Sartor and Easton Daniel. Honorary pallbearers will be the Kiowa Class of 1979, Greg Sexton, David Pollock, Jody Wood, Kenny Weiher, Coy Trammell, Larry Finch, Clifford Finch, Robert Garrison, Daniel Garrison, Larry Don Roberts and Bo Posey. Anthony was born on June 8, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bobby Dean Jones and Bobbie Jean (Rose) Jones. Anthony grew up in Ashland and graduated from Kiowa High School with the Class of 1979. Following high school, Anthony enrolled at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Oklahoma and spent one year in college. He then returned to Ashland to work in the construction business with his father. He is survived by his son: Justin Jones and wife, Kayla of Buffalo Valley; a grandson: Kane Anthony to be born in October of 2020; his devoted mother: Bobbie Jean Jones; his sister: Angie Jones and Greg Sexton all of Ashland; Justin’s mother: Evelyn Jones of Buffalo Valley; aunts and uncles: Jarie and Robert Daniel of Ashland, Bob and Oleta Boman of Broken Arrow, Shirley White of Bixby, Barbara and Wes Hudgins of Bristow, and Jim Jones of Tulsa; his horse: Cupcake of Ashland and numerous cousins, and other family and a host of friends. Anthony is preceded in death by his father; Bobby Jones; his brother: Larry Dean Jones; maternal grandparents: Willa and W.H. Rose; paternal grandparents: Sam and Pearl Jones; and, aunts and uncles: Colleen, Doris, Eva Dee, Dale, Sammy, Dariel, and Billy Don. Special thank you to Southeast Hospice, cousins: Donetta, Carol Ann, Leslie and everyone that visited.
