Eric D. Meyers, 45, of Hartshorne, Oklahoma, passed away on February 19, 2026, at McAlester Regional Health Center. A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Adamson Cemetery with Mr. Steven Sutmiller officiating. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be Clinton Taylor, Dalton Pingleton, Ethan Shaffer, Anthony Collins, and Hannah Pingleton. Eric was born on March 6, 1980, to Daniel Meyers and Marsha (Wallace) Shaffer. Despite the challenges he faced, Eric met life with strength and determination. He overcame many obstacles and was known for his kind heart and gentle spirit. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle who treasured his family. He is survived by his mother, Marsha Shaffer and Clint Taylor; his sisters, Crystal Shaffer, Charity Kennedy, and Lauren Adams; his brother, Ethan Shaffer; his nieces and nephews, Jaspaul, Mya, Anylah, Siree, Dalton, Hannah, Dalli, and Sterlin; grandmother, Doris Wallace; as well as other family members and friends who will dearly miss him. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Meyers; his life partner, Michael Botts; stepfather, Daniel Shaffer; and his grandparents, Ruiko and George Okey, and Barbara and Robert Meyers; and grandfather, Gene Wallace.
