DeWayne Prickett
August 18, 1955 ~ June 5, 2019


DeWayne Prickett, 63, of Perkins, Oklahoma passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at his home in Perkins. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

DeWayne was born August 18, 1955 in Yale, Oklahoma to Teddy Wayne and Patsy [Sneed] Prickett.

He grew up in the Mehan community and attended Ripley public schools where he graduated in 1973.

Survivors include his wife Janet of the home; his mother, Patsy Prickett Driskel and husband Jim of Stillwater, OK.; five sons, Jered DeWaye Prickett and wife Candace of Tryon, OK., Ryan Allensworth and wife Martha of Claremore, OK., Andy DeWayne Prickett of Stillwater, OK., Lucas Sloan Prickett of Stillwater, OK., and Conner Pete Prickett and significant other Brandice McCoy of Stillwater, OK.; three step-children, Alan Frank and wife Katie of Yukon, OK., Jason Frank of Stillwater, OK., and Angela Ely and husband Brian of Yukon, OK.; 13 grandchildren, Taylar Prickett, Tanner Prickett, Cody Henley, River Allensworth, Addison Allensworth, Braylyne Rosiere, Kimber Prickett, Ford Ely, Fisher Ely, Abby Frank, Skylar Frank, James Frank, and Kadan Frank; 4 great-grandchildren, Wyatt Hendren, Milo Hendren, Levi Henley, and Makenlee Henley; 3 siblings, Cathy Prickett Dawson and husband Paul of Perkins, OK., Ricky Gene Prickett of Stillwater, OK., and Rhonda Jo Prickett Foote and husband Billy of Glencoe, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Teddy Prickett; and both Paternal and Maternal grandparents.

Visitation will be 1PM to 8PM Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater with family greeting guests from 5PM to 7PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 2PM Monday, June 10, 2019 at Mehan Union Church with Larry Eslinger officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden in Stillwater.

Pallbearers will be Jered Prickett, Lucas Prickett, Ryan Allensworth, Conner Prickett, Andy Prickett, Cody Henley, and Tanner Prickett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Frank, Alan Frank, and Brian Ely.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Music Fund of Cimarron Valley Church of Perkins, OK in c/o Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK., 74075.
