Services for Emma Louise Ham, 83, Rt 3, Stillwater, will be at 2 pm Saturday, January 23, at the First Christian Church, the Rev Bill Inglish officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.

She died Wednesday, January 20, 1993, at St Francis Medical Center in Tulsa.

Mrs Ham was born July 9, 1910, southwest of Stillwater, the daughter of James Ira and Pearl [Kinney] Graham. She grew up southwest of Stillwater and attended school at Orlando, where she playas basketball.

Om December 31, 1831, she married Roy Perry Ham in Stillwater. Following marriage the couple lived and farmed in the Cottonwood Community.

She loved cooking and planning meals for her large family.

Mrs Ham was a member of the First Christian Church and Cherokee Extension Club. She made cakes for the annual Extension Homemakers Cake and Bread Show and won grand champion prize for her German chocolate cake in 1981.

She was predeceased by her husband on May 20, 1990, five sisters, two brothers and one granddaughter.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs Richard [Betty] Fagan, Mrs Frank [Annita] Eafes, Mrs Gerald [Sue] Estes, all of Stillwater, and Ms Carolyn Murray of Colorado Springs, Colo; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Myron Graham of Stillwater, and one sister, Mrs Faye Baran of Okanagen, Wash.

Pa;;bearers include Rick Fagan, Kelly Fagan, Shawn Fagan, Daren Fagan, Keith Ives, Perry Ives, Bryan Murray and Alan Eades.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Oklahoma Affiliate, 2601, NW East, Oklahoma City 73112.

The family will be at Strode Funeral Home Friday, January 22, from 7-8 pm.

Alpha May Ham, 104, passed away on March 29, 2015 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Her funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Oklahoma with Larry Eslinger as the officiate. The family will have a private burial at Sunset Memorial Garden following the service. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born January 19, 1911 to Hayden Thomas and Annie [Haegele] Bunney just west of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

She married Robert Lester Ham December 24, 1931 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

She attended schools at Cottonwood County School where she completed eight grades.

She worked for the telephone company Southwestern Bell and as a domestic homemaker.

She was a part of the Cherokee Homemakers Extension Club, FFA Mother's Club, FHA's Mother's Club, Greeters Class Secy, and Christian Women's Fellowship.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hayden Thomas and Annie [Haegele] Bunney ; husband, Robert Ham and one son, Neil Eugene Ham.

She is survived by her daughters, Jocille Osborn of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Billie O. Ham

Services for Billie O. Ham will be at 2 pm Friday, April 30, in the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev Steve Laswell officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.

Ham died Tuesday, April 27, 1993, in the Stillwater Medical Center at the age of 73. He was born July 2, 1919, in Stillwater to Tom and Blanche [Leigh] Ham.

He married Clotilde Barker May 11, 1941, in Stillwater and had lived most of his life in Stillwater except for his stint in the military. He served un the US Army during World War II. He was wounded in Germany.

After the war, Ham worked for a period of time as an airplane mechanic at the Stillwater Airport. He owned Ham's Automotive on the corner of Perkins Road and Sixth Street. The repair shop then moved to Lewis Street.

He retired in 1981 and he delivered meals for the nutritional center in his spare time. He also taught Sunday school at the church. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, David.

Ham is survived by his wife; two daughters, Syble Yvonne Moore of Cleveland and Quin Dola Baker of Mustang; two brothers, John Leigh Ham of Austin, Texas, and Jimmie Ham of Perkins; two sisters, Betty Beeler of Perkins and Janie Loundenbeck of Newport, Ore; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Clotilde Marie [Barker] Ham, 85, of Stillwater, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, in Tulsa. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Henry Siems officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 4, 1922, in Tupelo, Miss., to Lloyd Barker and Mattie [Creasey] Barker. She married Billie O. Ham May 11, 1941, in Glencoe. He preceded her in death April 27, 1993.

Clotilde was a loving mother and homemaker and a longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was a wonderful caregiver and a hard worker and never sought attention for herself. She also served as a faithful volunteer at Judith Karman Hospice for many years.

She worked as a bookkeeper and cosmetologist and owned and operated the Portrait Beauty Salon for a number of years. Her love of crocheting resulted in many potholders being given as gifts. She loved to travel and enjoyed her latest trip to Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Glen Barker and one son-in-law, Jerry Baker.

She is survived by two daughters, Quin Dola Baker of Mustang and Syble Yvonne Moore and her husband, Ian, of Cleveland; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother, Lloyd Barker of Helendale, Calif. and one sister, Carol Pruitt of Harrison, Ark.

Lillian Esther [Jones] Bastemeyer Tarkington Ham

Lillian Esther Ham, 81, of Stillwater, Okla. died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, in Stillwater, Okla. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 at Sunnybrook Christian Church with Mr. Paul Anderson officiating. Interment was held in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater, Okla. Strode Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ham was born August 7, 1925 in Sand Springs, Okla. to Joseph Norman Jones, Sr. and Ada Leona [Slater] Jones. She attended grade school at Medio, which was later called James Whitcomb Riley, and Roosevelt Junior High School. When she was in seventh grade, Ham moved with her family to the small community of Mingo and attended school there until the tenth grade. In 1942, she graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Okla. After graduation she worked for Kresses Dime Store and Spartan Aircraft.

She married Wendell E. Bastemeyer, Sr. in September 1943 and moved to South Dakota. They later divorced. In 1967, she moved to Stillwater and married David Tarkington in 1968. He preceded her in death in1979. On August 2, 1986 she married Jimmie T. Ham in Stillwater, Okla. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2004.

Ham worked at Oklahoma State University for 20 years retiring in 1986.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, David Tarkington; Jimmie T. Ham; two brothers, Joe Jones, who was killed in a 1948 car accident; Bob Jones; an infant daughter, Sheryl; one sister, Nadine Cline; and one daughter, Kerry Andrews.

She is survived by three sons, Wendell E. Bastemeyer, Jr. of Stillwater, Okla.; Ken Bastemeyer of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Bob Bastemeyer and his wife, Judy, of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Wanda Baker of Stillwater, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Kathryn Penland of Arlington, Texas; Michael Bastemeyer of Stillwater, Okla.; Amanda Jo Schaubroeck of Muncie, Ind.; Kelly Branigan of Kansas City, Kan.; Christopher Bastemeyer of Stillwater, Okla.; Bryson Baker of Stillwater, Okla.; Garrett Baker, U.S. Marine Corps, Twentynine Palms, Calif.; Robert Bastemeyer of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Dorothy Burrus and her husband, Hershel, of Dallas, Texas; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews including, Raymond Burrus of Tulsa, Okla.; JoBeth Cooper of Anaheim, Calif.; Brad Jones of Long Beach, Calif.; and Rich Jones of Amarillo, Texas.

Jimmie T. Ham, 77, of Stillwater, died Monday, May 10, 2004, in St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Services will be in Sunnybrook Christian Church Thursday at 2 p.m with Paul Anderson and Rich Jones officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater.

Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born in Payne County Sept. 7, 1926, to William Arthur [Tom] and Blanche [Leigh] Ham.

He married Betty Brown and they were later divorced.

He married Esther Tarkington Aug. 2, 1986, in Stillwater.

He went to school in Payne Center then graduated from Perkins High School in 1944. He then went on to work for Santa Fe Freight, Goodyear Tire and in the oil field.

His passion was music; he played the steel guitar, standard guitar and the bass. At one time, he had a 16 piece western swing band. He started playing for dances when he was so young, his mother and father had to drive him to the dances. He last played with the Sunshine Playboys at Ponca City. He also played at the Senior Citizens Center in Perkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, John, Bill and David.

He is survived by his wife of the home; two sisters, Betty Beeler of Stillwater and Janie Loudenbach of Newport, Ore.; three daughters, Mavis King, Sande Sima and Linda Winter and her husband, Jim; grandchildren, Scott King and his wife, Elizabeth, Ronna King, Janelle Mulanax and her husband, Jason; Laura Kelly and her husband, Mike and their son, Anders; Lynelle Snowbarger and her husband, Craig; and Brandon Winter; stepchildren, Woody Bastemeyer and his sons, Michael and Chris, Bob Bastemeyer, his wife, Judy, and their son, Robert, of Tulsa; Ken Bastemeyer of Oklahoma City; Kerry Andrews of Oklahoma City and her children, Kathy, Steven and Kelly of Texas, Wanda Baker and her husband, Lupe Reyna; and special grandchildren, Amanda Kay and Bryson and Garrett Baker of Stillwater.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hall, Gerald Johnson, Raymond Burrus, Ival Hesser, Max Porter and Lupe Reyna.

Billie Kathryn [Green] Ham Focht

Billie Focht, age 64, a longtime Stillwater resident, passed away on September 20, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Billie was born on November 9, 1948 in Stillwater, OK. She was the daughter of Elwood and Barbara [Penn] Green. She grew up in Stillwater, graduating from Stillwater High School in 1967. Billie was a single mom who raised four children yet still found time to work, assist others and do her own sewing and basic house maintenance. She loved her family and caring for others.

Billie's compassion was evidenced daily in her work as a hospice nurse. She was a dedicated member of the Judith Karman Hospice team for 24 years where she was highly valued by her peers, her patients and her patient's families.

Prior to being injured in December 2012, Billie was a dedicated member of Take Off Pounds Sensibly [TOPS], receiving TOPS "KOPS" [Keep Off Pounds Sensibly] award and being named runner up for Queen of the State for TOPS. Billie cared about all of the families for whom she cared, spending as much time as she could with each family and in several cases even adopting the pets of the loved ones so she could care for them too. Billie's strength in the face of great adversity was an inspiration to her family and friends. She was truly an angel on this earth and will be greatly missed.

Dana Lea Ham of Minco, formerly of Stillwater, died Thursday, November 19, 1992, in her home at the age of 23

Services will be at 2 pm Saturday, November 21, in the Strode Chapel with the Rev Gene Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.

Memorials may go to Judith Karman Hospice.

She was born in Stillwater August 23, 1969, to Neil Eugene and Billie [Focht] Ham. She graduated from Stillwater High School and was a pitcher on the softball team.

Miss Ham attended Northeastern Oklahoma College on a softball scholarship and graduated from there with an associates degree. She had recently been working as a groom on Arabian horse ranches.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and was preceded in death by her grandfather and father.

Miss Ham is survived by her mother of Stillwayer; her maternal grandmother, Freda Focht of Stillwater; her paternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Lester Ham of Stillwater; and two sisters, Toni Lynn Ham of Stillwater and Mesa Kae Ham of Mesa, Ariz.

Pallbearers will be Randy Hester, Jeff Hesser, Tom Hesser, Colt Ham, David Sneed and Darrin Luker.
