Hall Services To Be Friday

Ross Woodrow Hall of 2215 W 10th died Tuesday, March 15, 1983, at Stillwater Medical Center. He was 70 and retired administrative officer fir the Soil Conservation Service of Oklahoma.

His funeral will be at 10:30 am Friday in the First Christian Church with the Rev Jim Cord officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Strode Funeral Home

Flag presentation at the grave will be members of Hanner-Sharp American Legion Post.

The son of J. W. and Mary [Ross] Hall, he was born October 21, 1912, at Parsons Kan.

He attended Oklahoma State University and was Known as "Plowboy" during his football days as an outstanding Aggie fullback.

He and the former Juanita Marie Bussman were married February 4, 1934.

He began his SCS career in August 1935, as a stenographer in Stillwater. The next year he moved to Elk City.

His earlier SCS Career was interrupted by World War II, when he served as a battalion commander and regimental executive officer in the European Theater.

He continued in the active army reserve and in 1964 retired with the rank of colonel after serving as chief of staff of the 95th Infantry Division in the Army Reserves.

Shortly before retiring he was awarded one of the United States Department of Agriculture highest honors when the Secretary of Agriculture presented him the superior service award.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, the American Legion, Beta Theta Pi fraternity, Stillwater Alumnus and the 95th Reserve Officers Association.

He was predeceased by a brother, William Hall and a sister, Margaret Anderson.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Dr Ronald R. Hall of Stillwater, Dick A. Hall of St Louis, Mo, and Ross W. Hall Jr of Vicksburg, Miss.
Also, four grandchildren, a brother, Miles Atwell Hall and a sister, Leona Holden.

Alvin Wesley Hall
December 23, 1921 ~ February 5, 2010


Alvin Wesley Hall, 88, of Perkins, Oklahoma, died on Friday, February 5, 2010 in Perkins, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Christian Church in Perkins with Charles Wall and David Massey officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on December 23, 1921 in Mulhaul, Oklahoma to Earl Guy Hall and Jennie Grace Hunt Hall. He married Wilma June Lile on August 15, 1942 in Perry, Oklahoma. They had three children.

Alvin attended Ripley Public Schools. He owned welding shops in Cushing and Stillwater, and he retired from the OSU Physical Plant in 1987.

He was a member of the Christian church in Perkins, Oklahoma, and the American Legion. Alvin served in the US Army for three and a half years during World War II, enjoyed coaching his son's Little League baseball team, and was a member of the Stillwater Boat Club. His hobby was rebuilding and restoring antique Ford cars and trucks.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Wilma Easter, and one grandson, Daryn Casey.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma June Hall, of Perkins, Oklahoma; one son, Ken Hall and wife, Paula, of Perkins, Oklahoma; two daughters, Willa Jean Casey and husband, Ron, of Katy, Texas, and Donna Wilkinson and husband, Ed, of Stroud, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Suzann Cieutat and husband, Barrett, of Katy, Texas, Jay Wilkinson and wife, Jaime, of Edmond, Oklahoma, Scott Wilkinson and wife, Heather, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Robin Clark and husband, Brandon, of Owasso, Oklahoma, Kimberly Anglin and husband, Joey, of Perkins, Oklahoma, and Mark Hall, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Clifford Hall of Snugharbor, Oklahoma, and Gene Hall of Ripley, Oklahoma; one sister, Earlene Fisher of Lenna Texas; and ten great-grandchildren.

Genieve F. [Rush] Hall
November 24, 1936 ~ February 2012


STILLWATER, Okla. — A celebration of life for Genieve E. Hall will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.

Genieve was the eldest child of David and Oma Rush, born Nov. 24, 1936 in Tryon, Okla. She married the love of her life, Gene Hall, on January 31, 1955 in Stillwater, Okla.

She was a member of the Perkins First Baptist Church where she was baptized at the age of 13.

Genieve had a tremendous love for her family and friends. She loved the outdoors, gardening, flowers, and Christmas was her favorite season for decorating. Her passion was to watch every ballgame, track meet, or any sport that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participated in.

Throughout the years, Genieve and Gene farmed, raised and showed registered Ayrshire dairy cattle from their family farm, and were charter members of the Perkins Round-Up Club. She was a devoted hard-working farmer's wife and assisted her husband in whatever chores needed to be done. Whether it was milking cows, feeding baby calves, or delivering meals to the field, Genieve and Gene were always working hard side by side.

Genieve is survived by her husband, Gene, one daughter, Imogene Stanford and her husband, Troy; three sons, David and his wife, Sandy, Kenny and his wife, Karen, and Junior and life partner, Patrick; and a young man they always thought of as a son, Shelby Clinton; two brothers, J.B. Rush and Phillip Rush and his wife, Anita. She adored and was so proud of her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Bertie B. Craycraft.
