Janice Sue [Helf] Grisham
January 14, 1933 ~ September 6, 2020

Janice Sue Grisham passed from this life on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the age of 87, in Enid, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held in her honor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid, Oklahoma on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens beginning at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020.

She was born January 14, 1933 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Marvin V. Helf and Hazel Irene Nash Helf. Janice graduated from Stillwater High School in 1951 and later married Gerald A Grisham in Ponca City until they divorced in 1968.

Janice and Gerald had two children, Kerry A. and wife Peggy Grisham of Enid, Oklahoma and Janene DeWall Brown and husband Sean of Pensacola, Florida. After many years of dedication, Ms. Grisham retired from the Oklahoma State University Veterinary Medical Treatment Hospital in Stillwater and moved to Waukomis in October of 2005.

Preceding her in death include her former husband, her mother Hazel Irene Nash Helf in 1947, her father Marvin V Helf in 1987, her grandson Thomas Richard Dewall in 2004, and her stepmother E Delores Beck Helf in 2005.

Janice is survived by her two children, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Sue was affectionately known as “Grandma Sue” to almost everyone she met. She was fiercely independent and loved her Lord and Savior and her family. She was an amazing mother, grandma, friend, counselor and provider. Sue didn’t care about material possessions, the thing she treasured most was spending time just talking with her kids and grandkids. She will be missed terribly until we see her again.
