Katherine Lucinda "Kathy" Grimm
November 8, 1940 ~ September 7, 2017

Katherine Lucinda "Kathy" Grimm passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Westhaven Nursing Home in Stillwater, OK. She was 76. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK.

A Celebration of Kathy's life will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 10AM at Ripley Church of God in Ripley, OK. Rev. Steve Jordan will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, OK.

Kathy was born November 8, 1940 in Cushing, OK, to Allen Troy and Amanda Pauline [Drake] Robertson. She attended Cushing schools and graduated high school in 1958. Soon after graduation she married the love of her life, Raymond Grimm on June 18, 1960 in Perkins, OK. They were blessed with 57 years together. Together they made their home in Tryon, OK.

Many things were special to Kathy. She enjoyed listening to many types of music but her all time favorites were George Jones and Tammy Wynette. You would often hear her say "right here, right here" as she pointed out her special part of the song. Raymond always enjoyed seeing the excitement in her eyes when they would go on train rides together as it brought back childhood memories of her time spend as a young girl on the Katy Railroad. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, canning, and cooking. Her signature dishes were homemade Chicken & Noodles and various kinds of pies. Out of all her accomplishments in life, the one that she took the greatest pride in was being a homemaker, always working to make her house a home. She loved being a mother and grandmother but most of all, being the wife to the man who could always bring the biggest smile and instant twinkle to her eyes even after all these years. She loved many and was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Raymond Grimm of the home; five children, Shelia McFarlin and husband Larry of Oilton, OK, Raymond Grimm, Jr. and wife Denise of Cushing, OK, Brian Grimm and wife Melissa of Stillwater, OK, Lisa Smith and husband Eddie of Perkins, OK, and Gary Grimm of Yale, OK; four grandchildren, Connie Amon and husband Roy of Cushing, OK, Kyle Grimm and wife Tonya of Norman, OK, Seth McFarlin and wife Emily of Yale, OK, and Alicia Brown and husband Cody of Stillwater, OK; four great-grandchildren, Ashlen, Kira, Hunter, and Adam; brother, Raymond Robertson and wife Sherry of Arkansas city, KS; sister, Maxine Thompson of Cushing, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Vivian Stephens, and Evelyn Gottfried; and two brothers, Edward Sonny Robertson, and Ronald "Bulldog" Robertson.
