Ruth Eline Gooch, 87, formerly of Stillwater, died Monday, September 26, 1994, at Bass Memorial Hospital in Enid.

Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, September 28, at Strode Chapel. Dr John Russo will officiate. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Home of Enid, OK 73701.

Ms Gooch was born on February 10, 1907, in Perkins, to Lloyd and Edith [Buchannan] Enslow. She attended school in Morrison, and graduated from Stillwater High School.

She worked at various restaurants in the Stillwater area, and was a retired Stillwater business woman. She had lived in Enid for the past four years. On September 13, 1937, she married Roy B. Gooch in Siloan Springs, Ark. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1968.

In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Gilbert and Leon Enslow, and one sister, Dorthy McCall.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs Myron [Sharon] Combs of Enid; two grandchildren, Mrs Rodney [Trevor] Swanson of Tulsa and Darin Combs of Emporia, Kan; one great grandchild, Joseph' one brother, Bill Ensjow of Apple Caley, Calif; and one sister, Jane Sappington of Morrison.
