September 27, 1944 ~ October 8, 2012


Dorothy Lee Goforth, 68, died on Monday, October 8, 2012 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Strode Funeral Home from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy was born on September 27, 1944 in Monroe, Wisconsin to Roy and Aura J. [Wright] Kleckner. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1962. She married Ralph Goforth in Stillwater, Oklahoma on August 23, 1968, and they lovingly raised two daughters. She was a cook at the Perkins-Tryon schools for 15 years, and did bookkeeping for various banks in the area. Dorothy was a volunteer worker at Stillwater Medical Center as well as a longtime member of the Bible Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, and one half-brother.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ralph Goforth, of Perkins, Oklahoma; Tanya Lynn Goforth, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Jenny Lea Peck, and her husband, Joseph, of Beloit, Wisconsin; Gary L. Goforth, and his wife, Marsha, of Edinburgh, Indiana; Cynthia Morris, and her husband, Danny, of Mannford, Oklahoma; Ralph Goforth, and his wife, Joyce, of Franklin, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Thomas, Ashley, and Timothy Larson, Danielle Brown, and her husband, Chris, Andrea Morris, and Gary Lee , Gerald Loyd, Christina Marie, Holly and Bobby Goforth; and eleven great grandchildren.
