Ruth Annette [Lile] Geller
January 18, 1913 ~ February 15, 2007


Ruth Annette Geller, 94, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Stillwater, Okla. Services were held Monday, February 19, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Strode Funeral Home Chapel, Stillwater, Okla. with Dr. Paul Calmes officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater, Okla. with Strode Funeral Home handling all of the arrangements.

Ruth was born on January 18, 1913 in Ralston, Okla. to Wilbur Lile and Emma [Williams] Lile. She married Lester Owen Geller on January 13, 1931 in Perry, Okla. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1977.

Ruth moved to Stillwater as a baby where she spent the rest of her life. She was one of the last living charter members of Southside Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was the last living member of her generation of the Geller and Lile families.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, Opal Divine, Katy Leach, Jenny Rossander, and Gracie McCarty, one brother, Merle Lile, and two grandchildren, Vicky Geller, Mike Porter and Bruce Geller.

She is survived by two sons: Jack Geller and his wife, Barbara of Bartlesville, Okla., Roy Leon Geller and his wife, Kathy of Eatonville, Wash.; two daughters: Alice Porter of Plano, Texas, Jo Anne Fowler and her husband, Cleo of Stillwater, Okla.; 12 grandchildren: Mark Porter and his wife, Merlene of Stillwater, Okla., Joe Bays and his wife, Lisa of Boerne, Texas, Brad Bays and his wife, Sharon of Stillwater, Okla., Peggy Rowe of Auburndale, Fla., Kelly Fowler of Lakeland, Fla., Cleo L. Fowler, Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Marietta, Ga., Diane Mangum and her husband, Eric of Roswell, Ga., Nancy Simpson and her husband, Michael of St. Petersburg, Fla., Will Geller of Bartlesville, Okla., Katie Geller of Bartlesville, Okla., Brett Geller of Seattle, Wash., and Brian Geller of Eatonville, Wash.; 20 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Ruth is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Joe Bays, Brad Bays, Luke Bays, Jake Bays, Mark Porter, Will Miller, and Randy Geller.
