Edward Moses Frye
January 28, 1920 ~ April 4, 1989


Funeral services for E. Moses Frye, a retired brigadier general and former legal counsel for Oklahoma State University, are scheduled Friday.

Frye died Tuesday. He was 69. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Stillwater.

Frye, a Sallisaw native, retired in 1971 as a U.S. Army brigadier general after 30 years of active, reserve and Oklahoma National Guard service. His decorations included a Purple Heart. He obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma and law degrees from Oklahoma City University.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lois, of the home; three daughters, Lynette Chapman, New Braunfels, Texas, Camille DeYoung, Oklahoma City, and Renee Ongaro, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Lucille Frye, Muskogee, and Juanita Frye Rousek, Oklahoma City; and three grandchildren.
