Mildred Elizabeth [Cantrell] Farrar

Mildred Elizabeth Farrar, 78, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Stillwater Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rev. Don Russell and Rev. Bill Coleman will preside. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. at the River of Life Church. Strode Funeral Home is directing the arrangements.

She was born in Okemah Feb. 21, 1924, to Edward Cantrell and Maureen Grace (Bishop) Johnson. She married William Oliver "Bill" Farrar April 3, 1943, in Seattle, Wash.

She graduated from Stillwater High School in 1942. She worked for Boeing Aircraft Company in Seattle as a mechanic and crew chief on B17's. In 1945, she and her husband returned to Stillwater.

After her children started attending school in the late 1960's she went to work for the YMCA as a certified Red Cross instructor. She taught both swimming and golf.

In 1975, she went to work at Stillwater Nursing Home as a nurse's aid. Her hobbies were tennis, golf and swimming and she loved being active.

She loved her grandchildren and was always there for them when they needed her. One of her greatest joys was to hear news of their activities and accomplishments.

She was a member of Hosanna Assembly of God.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, one sister and a granddaughter, Alyson Clark.

In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by four daughters, Judi Rebmann of Austin, Texas, Janet Dunn of Stillwater, Joyce Enerson and her husband Ronnie Dean of Glenpool and Jere Bilodeau and her husband Jim of Stillwater; 12 grandchildren, Jana Rebmann of Houston, Jodi Stewart of Oklahoma City, Charles Clark of Oklahoma City, Jeremy Rebmann of Norman, Amber Dickson of Poulsbo, Wash.. James, Michael, Matthew and Joy-Kaye Oaks of Stillwater and Kendra, Nathan and Bethany Enerson of Glenpool; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gay Hewitt and her husband "Bud" of Locksford, Calif.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeremy Rebmann, Charlie Clark, James Oakes, Matt Oakes, Nathan Enerson and Michael Oakes.
