Eleanor [Robinson] Fairchild
December 17, 1915 ~ April 8, 2012

Eleanor Fairchild, 96, passed away on April 8, 2012 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Sunnybrook Christian Church in Stillwater. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eleanor was born on December 17, 1915 to J. Grady Robinson and Lena Robinson in Bishop, Texas. She was married to Earl Fairchild. She attended Texas A&I where she received her Bachelor of Arts. She also attended the Chicago Institute of Music where she received her Master of Arts. Eleanor cherished her time as a teacher. Among her belongings were numerous letters from old students and school pictures of students from the 30's through her retirement.

Mrs. Fairchild was a light in every life she touched. She was so many things to so many people throughout her 96 years. As a woman of integrity, faith, and grace, she valued family, friends, music, travel and education. She was a devout follower of Christ. When she entered His presence on Easter Sunday, she was listening to "Amazing Grace" and the story of Jesus' resurrection. Mrs. Fairchild will be sorely missed; however, her family rests in comfort knowing she is finally Home with Him.

She is preceded in death by both her parents; husband, Earl; daughter, Margaret Fries; and all her siblings.

She is survived by Mark Hiner and wife Tiffany of Stillwater; Micah Smith and husband Jesse of Stillwater; and great grandchildren: Ethan Hiner, Logan Gwin, Jaxtyn Smith and Bella Smith.
