Clifford Harold Driskel, 95, of Stillwater, Okla. died Saturday, August 18, 2007, in Stillwater. Funeral services will be held at 10: 30 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Norman Richmond officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Driskel was born on June 2, 1912 in Cherryvale, Kan. to Ike Driskel and Emma [Hersh] Driskel. He attended Fairview schools in Oklahoma, where he enjoyed beekeeping and playing baseball for the Mehan baseball team. He married Margarette Reddout on November 24, 1934 in Stillwater.

He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers; and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Margarette Driskel of Stillwater; one son, Jim C. Driskel and his wife, Pat, of Stillwater; one daughter, Shirley J. Cooper and her husband, Charles, of Stillwater; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Margarette Orlene [Reddout] Driskel
February 4, 1916 ~ January 18, 2008


Margarette Orlene Driskel, 91, of Stillwater, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, in Stillwater. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Norman Richmond officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Feb. 4, 1916, in Ingalls, to Clarence Riddout and Mary [Rosiere] Riddout. She married Clifford Harold Driskel Nov. 24, 1934, in Stillwater. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 2007. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother and husband.

She is survived by her son, Jim C. Driskel and his wife, Pat, of Stillwater; daughter, Shirley J. Cooper and her husband, Charles, of Stillwater; sister, Helen Burgess of Las Angeles, Calif.; cousin, Rachael Driskel of Stillwater; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
